CROWPATH Calls It Quits

November 18, 2010

Swedish metal/hardcore band CROWPATH has officially called it quits. The band says in a statement, "Dead as fuck. So, the end is upon us! After 13 years of making noise we are done! It's been alot of fun and all that but the reason for not continuing with the band is the lack of ideas and creative drive. This is really a natural end, there is nothing more to be done.

"We would like to thank our previous bass players Björn, Thomas and especially Dan for putting up with us through out the years. Thanks to all the cool bands, promoters and people we met and also a big thanks to Willowtip for being the coolest label around!

"Erik (Hall; drums) and Henrik (Ivarsson; vocals) have a new band going on called TELLUSIAN. Music will pop up on the web in a not-too-distant future."

CROWPATH's third full-length album, "One With Filth", came out in 2008 via Willowtip. The follow-up to 2004's "Red On Chrome" (Willowtip/Earache) and 2005's "Son Of Sulphur" (Willowtip/Earache) was recorded and mixed at Berno Studio in Malmö, Sweden by Andy Andersson.

CROWPATH has toured all over Europe a number of times, supporting such bands as CEPHALIC CARNAGE, CONVERGE, BLOOD DUSTER and MISERY INDEX, among others.
